September 11 and October 7 are just days away—two dates etched in history by acts of terror.

Intelligence officials warn that radical Islamic terrorists are drawn to anniversaries like these, seeking to mark them with new atrocities on American soil.

The FBI and Homeland Security are urging Americans to be on alert, especially in large gatherings like sporting events and malls. “If you see something, say something” to law enforcement.

America is standing at a tipping point.

U.S. intelligence confirms that radical Islamic terrorists, including ISIS and al-Qaida operatives, have already crossed into America. In Fiscal Year 2025 alone, more than 9,900 individuals from nations on the terror watchlist were stopped at our borders.

The reality is sobering: 1,000 to 2,000 radicalized operatives may already be inside the United States.

Subject matter experts Sarah Adams (former CIA officer) and retired Green Beret Scott Mann warn that the next wave of terrorism will not look like 9/11. Instead, it will mirror the brutal small-team assaults of Mumbai (2008), Paris (2015), and Israel on October 7, 2023.

Former FBI Director Christopher Wray has testified that the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have elevated the terrorist threat to a “whole new level.”

What they are plotting is not “terrorism” as we’ve known it—it is “horrorism”: acts so brutal, barbaric, and intentionally cruel that they defy imagination, designed not just to kill but to paralyze entire communities with fear.

Their targets are schools, churches, malls, concerts, and critical infrastructure—soft spots chosen to spark maximum terror, confusion, and chaos. The threat is evolving fast, and vigilance, awareness, and rapid coordination are critical.

God is sounding an alarm—calling His people to rise up in prayer, not in fear, but to stand in the gap, and to contend for the protection and destiny of our nation.

ARIZONA: A FRONTLINE STATE

Arizona is not just another state on the map—it is ground zero in the battle for America’s security. Its vast desert border is both a gateway for legitimate commerce and families seeking a better life, and a corridor exploited by cartels, traffickers, and hostile actors.

What flows through Arizona does not stay here. Drugs, weapons, and criminal networks spread across the nation, leaving devastation in their wake. At the same time, Arizona is home to vibrant faith communities and courageous leaders who are standing for righteousness. This tension makes our state both a doorway of danger and a gateway of blessing—a frontline whose impact reaches far beyond its borders.

OUR VULNERABILITY STEMS FROM SEVERAL FACTORS

These dangers are magnified by weaknesses within our own borders. Consider the following realities:

Open Borders: Years of open borders have allowed those with evil intent to enter our nation. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned that border vulnerabilities make terrorist infiltration even more likely, adding that terrorists are studying attacks like the Hamas massacre in Israel and envisioning them on American soil. He has called law enforcement in his state to prepare. Sadly, not many other governors have done so.

Law Enforcement Dangerously Unprepared. Terrorists are now building suicide vests designed to slip past security, and unleashing tactics intended to cause mass casualties and overwhelm first responders. One SWAT trainer admitted bluntly that police are not equipped for what’s coming. Most are trained for isolated, single-shooter incidents—not for multiple, heavily armed teams striking simultaneously. And police forces are already understaffed and underfunded.

Short-Term Political Thinking: Unlike adversaries who plan in decades, our government often operates on two to four-year election and budget cycles—hindering long-term strategic planning to counter terrorism.

Soft Targets: Schools, churches, and community events remain exposed. Too often, we’ve said, “It won’t happen here.”

A CALL TO URGENT PRAYER

Prayer is not optional—it is a matter of life or death. Terrorist operatives are already inside our borders. But God is greater! As His people humble themselves and intercede, He will expose hidden plots, frustrate the enemy’s plans, and shield our nation. Now is the time to pray with vigilance, courage, and perseverance.

LET’S PRAY

Exposure of Hidden Plots

Father, we ask You to expose every terror cell, cartel operation, and trafficking network in Arizona and across America. Shine Your light into every dark place. Cause intelligence officers, sheriffs, and border agents to uncover what has been concealed. Let plots be revealed before they are carried out. “For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest” (Luke 8:17a ESV).

Frustration of Evil Plans

Lord, sow confusion in the enemy’s ranks. Break communications, scramble coordination, and collapse supply lines of those who seek to harm. Let every scheme of violence be dismantled before it is executed. “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success” (Job 5:12 ESV).

Protection, Preparation, and Discernment for First Responders

God, shield every law enforcement officer, firefighter, medic, and border agent. Place a hedge of protection around them and their families. Give them courage, clarity, and supernatural discernment. Provide the resources and training for the new threats and challenges they will face. “He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11 ESV).

Strength and Safety for Communities

Father, break the spirit of fear seeking to paralyze our communities. Replace it with courage and resolve. Protect our schools, houses of worship, and neighborhoods. Bond them together with hope and unity. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God” (Isaiah 41:10a KJV).

Wisdom for Leaders

Grant wisdom to our state and national leaders, sheriffs, pastors, and community leaders. Guide national decision-makers with clarity. Let political agendas bow to righteousness and truth. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God” (James 1:5a NKJV).

Preservation of the Church

Lord, protect every congregation across America. Awaken Your Church to be a house of prayer. Let the Bride of Christ rise with courage, love, and prophetic boldness in this hour. “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18b ESV).
