ECFA Standards of Stewardship

Since 2006 BridgeBuilders International Leadership Network has been a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)—an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christ-centered churches and ministries earn the public’s trust through adherence to Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship.

Founded in 1979, ECFA accredited members comprise evangelical Christ-centered organizations, which have qualified for tax-exempt, nonprofit status and receive tax-deductible contributions to support their ministry outreach.

BridgeBuilders is committed to EFCA’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship, and their oversight of board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fund-raising, and proper use of charity resources. This includes conducting an annual third-party audit or compilation.

The purpose of ECFA’s Standards of Responsible Stewardship™ is stated clearly by the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 8:20-21:  "We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of man.”
