June 2009 Prayer Alert
"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent,
and for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes
forth like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning.
And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you
will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will designate... On
your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all
night they will never keep silent. You who remind the Lord, take no
rest for yourselves; and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes
Jerusalem a praise in the earth... Behold His reward is with Him, and His
recompense before Him."
- Isaiah 62:1-2,6-7,11

I. THE GOVERNMENT
II. THE BORDER
III. THE AWAKE ARIZONA CONFERENCE
IV. A PRAYER FOR OUR NATION
I. THE GOVERNMENT
This past week the
House and Senate finally passed the 2010 state budget, which now must be
submitted to Governor Jan Brewer for final approval. Now that the budget
has moved out of the House and Senate, the legislature is now focusing on the
multitude of other pending bills. As the Center for Arizona Policy
reports: "Senate Committees next week are scheduled to hear at least
8 pro-life, pro-family bills, including the Abortion Consent Act and the
Partial-Birth Abortion Ban." You can check out the progress of these bills
on the CAP website: www.azpolicy.org.
PRAY
for Governor Brewer, Senate President Bob Burns and Speaker of the
House Kirk Adams as they negotiate the terms of a final budget which must be
obtained by June 30.
PRAY for the Arizona
government leaders as they conclude the 2009 legislative session this month,
that there will be adequate time and godly wisdom given to each of the
important bills before our legislature.
PRAY
that those bills that are representative of godly values will be signed into
law.
II. THE BORDER
El Paso. On June
1-2, Hal Sacks and Guy Chadwick led the USA-MEXICO Border Prayer Alliance
leadership meetings in El Paso, Texas with 40 border pastors and intercessors
representing every U.S. border state and several border cities in Mexico.
A strategy is emerging which includes establishing 7 prayer towers and 12
Houses of Prayer along the 1,900 mile border.
PRAY that the plans discussed in El
Paso will be perfected as the Lord continues to give direction.
PRAY that watchmen will be
raised up and connected together effectively all along both sides of the border--standing
in the gap for both nations.
Tohono O'odham Nation. On June 6, Guy and a small team joined with
Pastor Stan Rios, a tribal member who has served the T.O. Nation as a pastor
for the last 7 years, to travel the more than 100-mile length of the land
all the way south to the Arizona-Mexico border at a little known place called
"The Gate". T.O. land, the second largest Native American
reservation in Arizona, includes 70 miles of the Arizona-Mexico border between
Lukeville and Sasabe. "The Gate" is the only place where T.O.
tribe members are able to pass across the border on their own land. We were able to anoint the gate posts with oil,
bless the nations, blow the shofar, and raise the same banner that was raised
on the top of Humphrey's Peak (the highest point in Arizona near
Flagstaff).
PRAY that watchmen are established
covering each of the 7 gates of our Arizona border (from west to east):
(1) San Luis/San Luis Rio Colorado (2) Lukeville/Sonoyta (3) The Gate (4)
Sasabe/El Sasabe (5) Nogales/Nogales (6) Naco/Naco (7) Douglas/Agua Prieta; and
all along our borderlands with Mexico.
PRAY
for a great move of God's Spirit resulting in the harvest of many souls from
among the Tohono O'odham nation.
III. THE AWAKE ARIZONA CONFERENCE
Arizona and the nation are in
crisis! It's time to awake to the critical times in which we are living and to
cry out to God to heal our land. We invite you to join us for Awake
Arizona '09, a conference like no other. Come for three days of
Awakening, Equipping, Empowerment, and Impartation as we seek to bring
reformation to this region. Pre-registration is open through June 15 at www.AwakeArizona.com.
PRAY
for protection and the release of God's heart through prophetic words and
messages from conference hosts Hal and Cheryl Sacks and speakers Dutch
Sheets, Cindy Jacobs, Terry Crist, Lance Wallnau, Tim Sheets, and Eric Reeder.
PRAY
protection and anointing upon worship leader Daniel Brymer and team.
PRAY
peace, preparation, and protection over our conference host church City of
Grace and the release of spiritual gifts and blessings upon the people in
attendance.

general conference and specific speaker prayer guides. Start praying today individually and in your
prayer groups. God has called Arizona to "take the point"! So let's
intercede for the release of new strategies to bring us new breakthrough in a
new day.
IV. A PRAYER FOR OUR NATION
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name asking
on behalf of all Americans to forgive our sin against you and to heal our land.
Lord, the economy of this country is in a desperate state and we will not be
able to overcome without your help. Your
Word says that we must humble ourselves and pray and you will hear from heaven
and heal our land. We ask you now, Father God to hear our prayer, forgive our
many sins and heal our land so that we might be a shining light and a help to
the nations. Strengthen our hearts and minds giving us also the wisdom and
guidance of your Holy Spirit. Minister
your love and provision to those who are going through very painful and trying
times. Open our hearts to give even more to the poor and needy. We pray for the
country's leaders today and ask for mercy and grace, and that they may make
wise Godly decisions that honor you. We
pray that because of your great mercy and kindness that you will visit this
nation with a great revival. We give you
thanks for the privilege of prayer and for your faithful love.
