Fronteras alerta de la Oración
US/MEXICO BORDER PRAYER ALLIANCE
Initiated in the spring of 2008, the new MEXICO-USA Border Prayer Alliance continues to grow—and with dynamic results. We are seeing consistent answers to prayer in exposing drug tunnels, the arrests of drug lords, dealers, and illegal shipments following every prayer event at the border. God is establishing strategic relationships among Christian leaders all along the border.

Two Nations One Prayer
God is Bringing Down Strongholds
in Mexico and Along our SW Border
Hal and Cheryl were with President Felipe Calderón, First Lady Margarita and members of the President’s cabinet in a private luncheon to discuss the critical issues facing both our nations. When President Calderon was asked how we could pray for him, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation and acknowledged his dependence upon God.
President Calderon Requested Our Prayers For:
1. The safety and security for the President’s family; his wife (Margarita Zavala) and their three children (María, Luis Felipe and Juan Pablo)
2. Godly wisdom and insight for President Calderón.
3. The president's executive cabinet and colleagues, including General Secratary Alejandro Poire (Director of National Security) General Director Alejandro Orozco (National Institute of Older Person) and Congresswoman Rosi Orozco (“I have only one goal in politics, and that is to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children in Mexico”). These are courageous men and women who have put their lives on the line to serve their nation and eliminate organized crime. Pray for their protection and for victory in this dangerous battle.
4. Mexico’s military and law enforcement have captured or killed 22 of the 37 “most wanted” drug cartel leaders and criminals in Mexico. There are currently 15 major criminal leaders left to bring to justice. Pray that these ruthlessly wicked criminals will be found and arrested soon and that their criminal businesses and minions will be broken up and destroyed in both the US and Mexico.
5. The success of President Calderon’s other efforts in providing poverty relief; for better and more accessible education for young people and a healthier economy and job market that will give opportunities for growing generation of children and youth. That this and the generations to follow will not become seduced into the grip of organized crime.
6. The Mexican people that they will support support the work of their President in his long battle against evil, remaining hopeful and supportive of their government’s efforts.
7. That the U.S. Congress and other public authorities in this country will take strong action to stop the flow of illegal arms and drug money into Mexico.
8. That drug shipments to the US will be interdicted and the routes and networks for the smuggling of drugs, weapons and sex trafficking will be uncovered, stopped and cut off by mutual cooperation from both nations with coordinated law enforcement efforts.
9. That Hollywood would stop producing movies that glamorize the taking of drugs like marijuana or cocaine. And the media would cease from promoting legalizing drugs.
This prayer initiative is called according to 1 Timothy 2:1. The Church in Mexico ha asked every Christian to pray God's grace before a meal, and to include a prayer for safety and godly wisdom for President Calderón and his family.
As brothers and sisters to the Church in Mexico, let's do the same and pray for their president, but also for God’s wisdom and grace for President Obama and his family.
Many leaders in Mexico expressed their appreciation for our 21 day “Two Nations, One Prayer” initiative. It is to God’s glory that together, our prayers will make a difference!
Praise Report
President Felipe Calderón said at the luncheon that “for the past six weeks crime and murder in Mexico have declined.” His statement was to the day, six weeks from when we started the “Two Nations, One Prayer” aka, the “Cinco de Mayo” Prayer Imitative.
